About this project & Fundraiser:

Dear Grad Student is a Weekly podcast started by Elana Gloger, a 5th year doctoral student, during Summer 2020. You can learn more about Dear Grad Student HERE. Elana came out as bisexual somewhere around 2015-2016, but mostly kept it to herself, close friends, and family. This podcast provided one of the first spaces where Elana has proudly and freely embraced being bisexual. Almost more importantly, this podcast has provided a space for Elana and her guests to embrace all facets of their identities and live as their authentic selves while being badass grad students, post-docs, phds, etc. The hope is that the items sold for this fundraiser will help increase the visibility of bisexuality and the comfortability of those who are bisexual in academia, science, & beyond.

As a personal note, I (Elana) have struggled with accepting that I am “bi-enough” to scream about it loud and proud. If you are here and trying to decide if you are “Bi-enough” for this collection or to even call yourself bisexual, know that I see you. And That you are enough, no matter what. Your truth is important and I am so proud of you.

As part of Bisexuality Visibility Week 2021, Dear Grad Student is raising money for The Trevor Project, which provides crisis and suicide intervention services to LGBTQ+ young people — it’s also Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, so the Trevor Project is perfect.

50% of profits earned between September 23rd and October 23rd will be donated; the donation amount will be listed at the top of this page once donated!
